Every rocket on the schedule, on a globe of the pads they leave from. What is flying, when, carrying what, and whether the booster is coming back. A list tells you when; a map tells you why the pads are where they are.

Why the pads are where they are

Close to the equator

The earth turns fastest at the equator, and a rocket launched eastward gets that speed for free — about 465 m/s at zero degrees, and nothing at all at the poles.

It is why Sriharikota sits at 13°N and Kourou at 5°N, and why a launch to the same orbit costs more fuel from Baikonur.

Facing water

Almost every pad has open sea to its east. The first stage falls somewhere, and the schedule of where it falls is decided before the rocket is built.

Baikonur is the exception that proves it: no coast, so the stages drop on empty steppe under a long-standing arrangement.

What the colours mean

Blue is confirmed and going. Grey is a date nobody has committed to yet. Amber is held. Green and red are outcomes, on the recently-flown list.

A halo marks how soon: the closer it is, the wider the glow.

Where this comes from. The schedule is Launch Library, published by The Space Devs and free to use. This site adds a map and caches their answers — the anonymous allowance is about fifteen calls an hour for everybody using this page, so a copy half an hour old is served rather than a fresh request per visitor. A launch schedule moves in hours and days, not seconds, so that costs nothing in accuracy. Times are shown only as precisely as the schedule claims to know them: where it says a month rather than a minute, this says so too rather than inventing an hour.

Why this matters here

Older Indian survey and revenue records sit on the Everest spheroid, not WGS 84. Treating one as the other puts everything a few hundred metres out — enough to move a plot boundary onto a neighbour.

Kalianpur 1880, 1937 and 1975, the India zone grids, UTM zones 42N to 47N on both WGS 84 and Indian datums, and the WGS 84 state systems.

Frequently asked questions

Which coordinate systems are supported?

WGS 84 and Web Mercator, UTM zones 42N to 47N on both WGS 84 and Indian datums, the Kalianpur India zone grids, and the WGS 84 state systems including Maharashtra. Each is listed with its EPSG code so you can check it against your source.

How accurate is the datum shift?

Transformations use the standard seven-parameter shifts published for each datum. Between Everest-based Indian datums and WGS 84 the difference is a few hundred metres, so using the wrong one is immediately obvious on the map preview.

Can I convert a whole list at once?

Yes. Switch to the bulk tab and paste a column. Comma, tab, semicolon or space separated all work, and anything after the first two values is kept as a label. Download the result as CSV.

Which value goes in which box?

Easting or longitude on the left, northing or latitude on the right. The labels change with the system you pick, so you never have to remember. Bulk mode has a swap option.
